2011 was such a great year! I was lucky enough to shoot at beautiful venues and work with the most wonderful couples. It is a huge honor to be trusted with the responsibility of capturing one of the most important days of your life, and I am so grateful to all of the interesting, friendly, funny, and sweet couples I’ve been able to work with. It was a year of blessings (including a sweet new nephew), travel, and exciting plans for the year to come. Here, in no particular order, are a few (okay, more than a few) of my favorite moments from 2011.
Coming out of hibernation…
I am so excited to have the chance to leave the house without a coat on! The temperature has finally reached the glorious 50’s, and it’s a wonderful reminder that wedding season is right around the corner (in fact, my first wedding of the season is this week)! Winter is a welcome slow time for wedding photographers, and we really enjoyed the downtime during a snowy and cold Boston winter. We did a lot of baking and cooking (those macaroons are from Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge – if you live in Boston and haven’t been, you have to go!), and I managed to get a few knitting projects completed.
I’m so looking forward to this wedding season. Working with wonderful couples, using some of the new equipment I invested in this winter, and traveling to some awesome new venues. What did you all do to stay busy during the long, dreary winter days?
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It seems like only yesterday I was whining about not having any snow in Boston. Since then, we have been hit with two crazy blizzards, and more to come today! I took my Diana camera out the other day to take some photos of the beautiful snow before it turned into gray slush. Good thing I got some new boots recently!
